Our Inspiration

Outdoor Youth Connections was founded in honor of Larry Ingalls by his close family of Everett Mountaineers.

As instructor, mentor, and friend, Larry was a prolific ambassador for The Mountaineers, serving in selflessness and teaching by example.

Larry loved to hike, scramble, snowshoe and climb, seeking his spirit on the peaks and encouraging others to also find THEIR way.

Larry Ingalls
His Legacy

In May 2006, Larry fell to his death in a climbing accident on Lewis Peak. His tragedy inspired Outdoor Youth Connections, fueling a passion to provide opportunities for youth to safely enjoy outdoor adventures like those he valued so much as an Everett Mountaineer.

Through OYC, Larry's energy and optimism survives to instill the values of stewardship, service, and personal achievement in today's youth and tomorrow's leaders.
